Dominic and Wei-Wei celebrated their wedding ceremony at the Four Seasons Resort in Langkawi. This is one of my favourite destination wedding resorts. The hotel pulled out all the stops to make sure this was a fairy tale wedding. The weather held, and we had a great party that night. Lanterns finished off the evening.
Dac and Wai Pin contacted me to be their wedding photographer for their Chinese/Vietnamese/Western fusion beach resort wedding at the Westin Hotel in Langkawi, Malaysia. Two very lovely families. The weather was all over the place with rain coming down during the portrait session, partly due to it being a crazy hot day that ended up with a pool party at the end of everything. Good it was a private pool as the party went on into the night. You can view their wedding below.
We had some time to kill before the wedding so took a few images around the Westin. Looks great doesn’t it.
The day starts with make up.

Vanessa and Christopher’s weddign was on the beach at the Four Seasons on Langkawi. We started with mandatory portraiture around the resort before heading to the beach for the actual ceremony. The wedding dinner was at the Serai and was both stylish and awesome fun. Once it got dark the whole wedding party went down to the beach to set free hot air lanterns. A couple of weeks later we headed down to Melaka to photograph their wedding banquet for family who couldn’t make it. I haven’t put up a posting of this (yet) so in the meantime will include just onre of the photos from that evening at the bottom of this photo set. Photos included below.
Unless you have a heavily locked down web browser you should be able to enjoy BOTH the Four Seasons and Melaka weddings by watching the movie below. I hope you enjoy the music too!
Lay May and Marcel asked me to be their wedding photographer for their wedding at the Pangkor Laut Resort. We had fun shooting the photography for this wedding. Do note the extra studio style lights we put up under the pagoda for the ceremony. We did this to balance the shadowy area under the roof with the bright sunshine everywhere else. It’s important when you hire a photographer that you get someone who is both experienced enough to know what to do under tricky lighting, and motivated to bring all the extra equipment to do it. Boy Scout motto: Be Prepared.
Reg and Lisa chose to celebrate their day with a destination beach wedding at the Four Seasons Resort in Langkawi. It is easily my favourite beach wedding location. The afternoon kicked off with a Chinese Tea Ceremony in the Rhu bar. We then went to the Spa for wedding portraits before getting ready for the sunset beach wedding. As can be seen in a couple of the photos the sun was very low in the sky before we even got started, so the portraits were mostly photographed in the twilight. The wedding dinner was at the Serai Restaurant. Good weather. Great couple with “Funtastic” friends too.
