Greg and Jennifer. Married in City Harvest Church, Subang Jaya
Greg and Jennifer’s Wedding at City Harvest Church (CHC), Subang Jaya. We have been the wedding photographer team for many of the original leadership team of the church and it has been wonderful to see the church grow over the years. This was in the old church building, before the new and much larger one down the road. In the evening dinner was held at the Bankers Club opposite Times Square.

John and Mindy’s wedding was a fusion of both Chinese and Christian traditions. John and his friends did the traditional bargaining and collection of the bride before having a tea ceremony then off to church. The wedding was held in St. John’s Cathedral in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. It’s a nice church with stained glass windows and an airy atmosphere. Afterward the wedding banquet was planned for the Royal Chulan hotel. The Royal Chulan has several areas for wedding dinners, with one of the popular venues the being the glass roofed central court which is what was used this evening. It is a personal favourite location for me due to its openness. It has a certain “feel” I can’t quite articulate. Photos below.
Mindy’s make up session started early in the morning.
Chilli Padi and Wasabi. Gauranteed to get the heart racing.

Victor and Yu-ying’s wedding was held at the Menara KL, also known as the Kuala Lumpur Tower. Celebrating on top of KL tower has its own unique challenges. Its a very long way down. The bouquet toss promised to be very exciting!

Kevin and Monica’s wedding was at the first City Harvest Church in Subang. The old building was never a great place to shoot, with everything dark and blue, there being no windows whatsoever and the sewage aeration ponds across the road. Not nice! This is quite different from their new location which is such a nice set up for weddings that it is difficult to get a bad photo there. Despite that, it was always a favorite church to shoot in, being one of the more lively and “happening” churches in KL. You will also see our additional lighting in some of these photos. This was years before radio strobes became popular. You will also see a very young Pastor Kevin Loo.
After the main ceremony we headed to the Holiday Inn, Glenmarie, for the Chinese tea ceremonies and dinner banquet. You will also notice in one of these photos my good friend Louis Pang (a wedding photographer from KK) and I posing for a shot. He is one of the relatives and also in the tea ceremony photos.

CK and Jennifer celebrated their nuptials at St. Andrews church in Kuala Lumpur. We started with a tea ceremony at Jennifers before heading to church. Later in the day the second tea ceremony was at the JW Marriott. We also did portraits there before the dinner banquet.
