A beautiful Hindu wedding celebrated at the Holiday Villa in Subang Jaya and then a banquet at the Eastin Hotel in Petaling Jaya. Due to the size of the wedding we decided on three of us to be in the photography team for the day. This enabled us to photograph from many angles without having to struggle to maneuver around the guests. They loved their photos and their mum went on to use them in advertising for her wedding business.
Danny and Kirsty’s Wedding – Chinese Tea Ceremony and Banquet at the Sunway resort hotel
Danny and Kirsty celebrated their wedding day in January 2009 with traditional Chinese tea ceremonies and then followed up with a wedding banquet in the Grand Lagoon ballroom at Sunway resort hotel and spa. This wedding was full of emotion and a really fun experience. I believe it was this wedding that convinced me to start packing ear plugs for the traditional fire crackers we;come committee.
Please note the following images have been transferred from my old site when we were all “ Internet load speed” compromised. That’s a fancy way of saying that they are of lower resolution than more recent weddings. Think of them as being “mobile device optimised” as they look great on the phone.
Stunning Chinese Styled wedding on Penang Hill
Amy and Henry’s wedding ceremony and dinner were on top of Penang hill. They had a TROPICAL 60’s theme. This wedding was notable for absolutely STUNNING views coupled with what has to be the most precarious tea ceremony I have covered so far. I was hanging on from the out side of the small venue.

Chinese wedding at St Andrews Church and dinner banquet at the JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur
CK and Jennifer celebrated their nuptials at St. Andrews church in Kuala Lumpur. We started with a tea ceremony at Jennifers before heading to church. Later in the day the second tea ceremony was at the JW Marriott. We also did portraits there before the dinner banquet.

Justin and Sher-Mayne’s Garden wedding at Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant
Justin and Sher-Mayne asked me to be their wedding photographer for their upcoming wedding at Bangsar Sea Food Garden Village. The morning started off in traditional style, with the ragging of the groom and his party when they came to pick Shermayne up. This included eggs through the pants, nail polish, shaving of legs, the room key being fished out of the frozen water bucket with the foot (I think it took them 5 attempts so there were cold feet- fortunately not the grooms! – pun intended), pretty much the normal things Chinese grooms have to go through here. A final song and then some money, and Justin got his bride! Once done it was Tea Ceremony time. Great way too meet the family and work out every ones social position in the family. It was well organised.
The Christian wedding ceremony was held at the Bangsar Seafood Village Gardens. The theme was “Grace Exceeding, Abundant, Above, and Beyond”. This really was the main event for me, as it enabled us to move around and shoot creatively. The flowers and bouquets alone were very beautiful. Pastor Ronnie Chin presided along with Shermayne’s father who is a pastor. The flower girls were perfectly behaved during the walk in and looked beautiful. The biggest challenge we faced was the rapidly failing light later in the ceremony so it was nearly night time during the final vows and walk out. Dinner was warm and touching and featured Justin singing to his lovely bride.
This was one of those weddings where the couples personalities shone through out the entire day. Very memorable.
Three of us photographers were in attendance. Camera’s used were Nikon D200, D300 and the D2h
