I LOVE getting this type of feed back and it is always nice to hear. Sadly so many people deny themselves good photography on their wedding day citing it is too expensive little realizing that the only thing that will definitely increase in value after their wedding day are the photos. Evelyn and Patrick’s wedding was held at Renewal Lutheran Church, the Oasis of Care, in Petaling Jaya. The church has several venues for weddings. Patrick’s mother is a Korean Pastor and sang a beautiful song for the couple, while the wedding ceremony was presided by Reverend Joshua Yee.

I used my Fuji X-T2 in classic chrome for many of these photos. It gives beautiful film like images.

Sarah an Louis celebrated their wedding at Renewal Lutheran Church aka Oasis of Care, in Petaling Jaya. It is a really warm and wonderful church. I have shot 3 or 4 weddings there over the years and I still remember the first time I was there how friendly the staff were.

The wedding itself began with a Tea Ceremony at home, and then on to the church ceremony. It was very tasteful and meaningful.

A Wedding in Saint Barnabas Klang and Wedding reception at the KL Sentral Hilton

Annie and Andre’s wedding was a split affair between the traditional Bidayuh wedding in Kuching, Sarawak and dinner at the Hilton in KL Sentral. I only covered the Kuala Lumpur side, which included a church wedding at Saint Barnabas church in Klang. The decor at the Hilton was stunning. Really fine affair with everyone dressed up for a fantastic evening out. You cannot have a Bidayuh wedding without the traditional Tuak. It is called a rice wine but in reality it is much more like Sake or Tequila. POTENT as you will see in some of the photos below.

Baptism at Thomas More Church in Subang

Baptism at St Thomas More Church in Subang

I do a lot of family photography shoots to mark mile stones in families lives. For Roman Catholics one of the first of these is when their baby is baptized. Early in May I was asked to photograph one of these momentous events at St Thomas More church in USJ Subang. I try to keep these shoots very affordable for couples and tend to do a lot of them.

Christian baptism can be carried out by pouring, dipping, sprinkling and full immersion. Roman Catholic and Anglican churches usually practiced pouring or sprinkling.

A Wedding at the Majestic Hotel in KL, Ceremony at SFX Church, and Dinner Banquet at the Lake Club

Over Chinese New Year we covered a wonderful wedding in KL. We all started off at the Majestic Hotel which is simply beautiful. The wedding cars were a classic Rolls Royce and a Bentley which both wafted the wedding couple to SFX church in Petaling Jaya for their wedding ceremony. We then went to the Lake Gardens for portraiture and I would have to say the Fujifilm X-T1 paired with the Fuji 56mm APD 1.2 is simply stunning as a light weight portrait combination. It seemed I couldn’t take a bad shot of the wedding couple. The following wedding dinner banquet was held in the ballroom of the Lake Club.
