David and Nicki called me to ask whether I could be their photographer for their wedding at the Datai resort in Langkawi. This is a beautiful location for beach weddings and is fairly secluded from the rest of the resort. Having the wedding in the evening meant we could photograph some lovely portraits as the sun set. It was a lot of fun and we all got tanned!
Adrienne first contacted me to be her wedding photographer whilst living in New York. My heart leapt when she told me she was planning a stylish wedding at the Four Seasons in Langkawi. I was also pleased to hear that Blair is a fellow Kiwi (a New Zealander). Adrienne’s family is from the UK. It was a fun wedding just off the beach. It was a lot hotter than it looks! I LOVED shooting this wedding and they were very pleased with the results.
If were to have an outdoor destination beach resort wedding, then the Four Seasons in Langkawi would definitely be the place!

Some samples from our latest shoot at the Four Seasons Langkawi. Chris and Joyce contacted me to be their wedding photographer for a small and intimate wedding. Their destination beach wedding was beautiful, with the weather holding up well, too well perhaps, as it was very hot!

Sunset on the beach
Steve and Natalia are from the UK and Russia respectively, and decided to have a beautiful intimate pastel themed wedding at one of my favourite resorts, the Four Seasons in Langkawi. Only two of the family could make it out to Malaysia and it was a wonderful experience despite it being one of the hottest days I can remember while shooting at this location. Steve enjoyed it so much he had a quick swim during the portrait session! The civil ceremony itself is usually fairly fast (5 minutes) so I was running everywhere to get the images needed as there are many angles to cover. At the end of the wedding the setting sun made a great back drop for the final portraits.
Sitting in the Langkawi airport later that evening as I waited for my flight I whatsapped images to Steve and Natalia so they could forward to their family. Their feedback made my heart swell.

We covered a wonderful Persian Wedding at the Four Seasons Langkawi complete with honey and sugar cone ceremonies. It was very intimate and tasteful. Just how I love weddings to be. I have included over 100 photos from this wedding for your pleasure. Cameras used at this wedding were the Canon 5Dmk3, Fuji X-T1 and XM1, and the Nikon 610.
