Dac and Wai Pin contacted me to be their wedding photographer for their Chinese/Vietnamese/Western fusion beach resort wedding at the Westin Hotel in Langkawi, Malaysia. Two very lovely families. The weather was all over the place with rain coming down during the portrait session, partly due to it being a crazy hot day that ended up with a pool party at the end of everything. Good it was a private pool as the party went on into the night. You can view their wedding below.
We had some time to kill before the wedding so took a few images around the Westin. Looks great doesn’t it.
The day starts with make up.

Bryan and Cheeleng’s prewedding portrait session was in Bali. It was a long hot day but it was so much fun. Bali is one of those classic destinations where you just can’t go wrong with its exotic locations and awesome scenery. I would have to admit we struggled with the lighting on this trip. The sun was relentless casting harsh light almost everywhere we went. Due to heavier traffic than expected we couldn’t wait it out at many of the destinations but overall we got some really memorable photos.Next time I think two days minimum would be a better idea.
Many people know me as a wedding photographer ONLY. Well yes weddings are my passion, and it is the most “up front” and noticeable photography I do in Malaysia, however I also do a lot of corporate and commercial photography as well. These photos are from concerts I photographed for Acts School of Dance. The dance school is located in Plaza Damas. I have had a long history of shooting for them ever since 2007. I LOVE photographing the performing arts, particularly dance and ballet!

Another lovely wedding at the Four Seasons Langkawi. Jonathon and Sonia wanted a small and private wedding…the smallest wedding we have covered, bride, groom and zero guests 🙂 It was a romantic interlude before heading back to the UK for the big party with all the friends and relatives. as their wedding photographers we were very privileged to enjoy their special and intimate wedding at one of our favourite photography locations, the Four Seasons Langkawi Beach Resort and Spa.
David and Nicki called me to ask whether I could be their photographer for their wedding at the Datai resort in Langkawi. This is a beautiful location for beach weddings and is fairly secluded from the rest of the resort. Having the wedding in the evening meant we could photograph some lovely portraits as the sun set. It was a lot of fun and we all got tanned!
